R&B legend George Clinton always brings incredible insight to conversations as well as interviews, and during a recent one, he revealed some more interesting news. While speaking with Pigeons and Planes, the man of many talents mentioned that he and rapper Kendrick Lamar recorded several songs together outside of the ones that have already been released, but he has no idea where they went. He admitted, “I did two or three other ones with him when we were recording, but I don’t know what’s going to happen with them.” He added, “We just worked on a video with Ice Cube for “Ain’t That Funkin” that’ll be out soon. It’s going to be very interesting for people to see it.” Clinton also had high praise for Kendrick Lamar saying Lamar reminds him of Sly Stone. Our biggest regrets in life are often when we didn’t take a chance or made a fool of ourselves. Things are quite different for pop star Rhianna. During an interview for the cover of Vogue magazine, the Barbadian songbird recalled her greatest regret. While accepting the Fashion Icon Award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2014, Rhianna wore a Swarovski-encrusted fishnet outfit, but the thong underneath it didn’t match. Outrageous indeed. She explained, “I just liked it better without the lines underneath.” Could you imagine the CFDA dress with a bra? I would slice my throat. I already wanted to, for wearing a thong that wasn’t bedazzled. That’s the only regret I have in my life.” Interesting. Taking a page out of Diddy, 50 Cent and Jay Z’s book, rapper Drake will be the latest hip hop artist to venture into the liquor business. Taking to Instagram to announce his new endeavor, the Toronto MC announced that he’s getting into the whiskey game, using the words, “After that legendary moment what is there to do but celebrate with class.” Sharing photos of what the Virginia Black Whiskey will look like, Drake used the hashtag “decadence”. As a self-described man of class, he is certainly feeling it. Rappers Rick Ross and Meek Mill have decided to make the best of things recently, showing off matching house arrest ankle monitors in a video posted on Instagram. It’s great to see the two making light of each of their perspective situations by inspiring others, even if they’re going about it with a sense of humor on social media. They must be bored. Hopefully, both have learned valuable lessons while paying the price for violating the law and are able to stay out of trouble when all is said and done.
