Beyoncé did a masterful job, to say the least. In addition, when she took her tour to her hometown of Houston TX, some law enforcement officials were not pleased. The local group the Coalition of Police and Sheriffs protested her concert, siting that they believe some of her performances are anti police. Some of the backlash is due largely in part to the fact that she can be seen on top of a sinking police cruiser. However, during a recent interview with Elle Magazine, Beyoncé set the record straight by saying, “Anyone who perceives my message as anti-police is completely mistaken. I have so much respect and admiration for officers and the families of officers who sacrifice to keep us safe. But let’s be clear, I am against police brutality. Those are two different things.” I guess some didn’t get an opportunity to read the article.
