India Arie, born India Arie Simpson, is  a singer/songwriter/producer and actress from Denver CO. She has won four Grammy awards, one of which was for Best R&B Album. She released her debut album “Acoustic Soul” in 2001. The album was met with a great deal of commercial success and rave reviews. She later went on to release the albums “Voyage To India”, “Testimony:Vol. 1.  Life & Relationship”, “Testimony: Vol 2. Love & Politics” and “Songversation”.
