Usher Raymond IV, known professionally as simply Usher, is a singer/songwriter/producer/dancer/actor who was born in Dallas TX, raised in Chattanooga TN and later moved to Atlanta GA at the age of twelve. He began his career singing gospel as a child before moving to Atlanta to start a professional singing career. At age 13, he competed on the television talent show “Star Search” where he was spotted by an A&R representative from Laface Records. He was signed to the label by co-founder La Reid. He released his debut album, titled “Usher” on August 30, 1994. The album spawned the hit singles “Can You Get Wit It” and “Think Of You”. The albums “My Way”, “8701”, “Confessions”, “Raymond Vs. Raymond”, “Here I Stand” and “Looking 4 Myself” followed. He released “Hard To Love” on September 16, 2016. His latest single is a lively, uptempo number ensured to get bodies moving at first listen.
