During an interview with Bay Area radio station 106 KMEL, the crooner discussed his hiatus from the music industry. During his time off, he went back to high school and earned his high school diploma. He revealed that he met Murder Inc. CEO Irv Gotti at age 17, therefore, never completing his studies. He was also in trouble with the law. Although he declined to discuss the legal situation, he did resolve the matter with community service for breaking the law. At any rate, it’s great to see that he’s changed his life for the better. It looks like singer Rihanna is looking to become the toast of Hollywood with several forthcoming film roles, “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets”, among them. The first teaser trailer for the film has arrived, and EW got their hands on a photograph of the songstress. In the visual, the superstar brandishes a flapper/gothic look, one of her many faces for the film. In addition to the $180 million budgeted “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets”, which is due Summer 2017, she can also be seen in “Bates Motel” and “Ocean’s 8.” With her highly anticipated sophomore album “Long Live The Angles” due tomorrow, singer/songwriter Emeli Sande has shared the visual for the single “Breathing Underwater.” The dramatic, yet inspiring clip highlights various types of struggle in cinematic scenes, which lead to a dance routine and a commanding performance by Sande. Despite being slapped with a hefty tax lien courtesy of the IRS, rapper Rick Ross hasn’t let that deter him from releasing visuals. Ross unveiled the powerful clip for the single “Free Enterprise”, which features singer John Legend, and where he also decimates president elect Donald Trump. Standing in front of an upside down American flag, Ross spews lyrical darts at Trump. Despite the fiery lyrics on the track taken from Ross’ 2015 effort “Black Market”, the Miami native revealed during an interview that he has no ill will towards Trump. It’ll be interesting to see how Trump responds. The founding organizers may have left with the brand, but fans who wonder if the Okeechobee Festival can pull off another amazing event without them can relax. Kings of Leon, Usher and The Roots, Bassnectar, The Lumineers, Flume, Wiz Khalifa, Pretty Lights and others will be included in the lineup for the Okeechobee Festival 2017, scheduled for March 2-5. Dance acts will include Porter Robinson, Griz, Snails, The Knocks, Tennyson and Nightmares on Wax. The festival will remain diverse with Rae Sremmurd, Mike Posner, Sleigh Bells, Anderson .Paak and the Nationals, BadBadNotGood and more. The event is one fans are sure to remember for some time to come.
