Singer/songwriter The Weeknd gave an exclusive live performance for “Vevo Presents” over the weekend where he performed for fans at LA Hangar Studios, showcasing tracks from his latest studio effort “Starboy.” He performed “Secrets”, “Can’t Feel My Face”, and rapper Kendrick Lamar joined him on stage to perform “Sidewalks.” Although he’s known for shaky vocals during live performances, The Weeknd pulled off an exciting performance for fans. Singer Beyoncé has been hit with another lawsuit, this time from designer Dwayne Walker, who claims she unlawfully used the Roc-A-Fella logo in the visual for her 2013 single “Drunk In Love.” According to Billboard, Walker says he created the basis for the logo for Jay Z, Damon Dash and Kareem “Biggs” Burke’s record label when it was launched in 1995. The logo features an “R” over a vinyl record with a champagne bottle as a record player needle. In the video, the logo is shown on Jay’s chain, which Beyoncé holds over his shoulder. It’s only shown for a second or so. In 2012,  Walker attempted to sue Jay Z, Damon Dash and Universal Music Group claiming he’s entitled to royalties for the logo’s use per a contract, which he says he lost in 1998. In September, a NY federal judge threw out Walker’s suit, saying that he waited too long to file and there’s no proof of the existence of the contract. It doesn’t appear that he has a case. At any rate, we’ll see what transpires.
