We lost one of the most talented artist of our time on Christmas Day. Pop music legend George Michael was found dead on Sunday at his home in Goring in Oxfordshire, England. He reportedly died of heart failure while in bed, lying, peacefully. Michael sold millions of records as a member of the duo Wham and as a solo artist. One of his biggest hits was his first solo single “Careless Whisper”, which was released in 1984. It reached number one in 25 countries, selling six million copies worldwide, and has been covered by several artists since its release. Veteran R&B singer Usher aspired to record a cover of the song, but wanted Michael’s blessing first. While Michael acknowledged Usher as a talented artist, he added that too many people had done useless covers of the song. Oh well. R&B singer Angie Stone will be the next artist to receive the biopic treatment. According to HipHollywood, Stone is preparing a movie that will highlight her career, including her stint in one of the first female rap groups, The Sequence, which Stone believes has been overlooked in the scheme of female contributions to hip hop. Stone added that she’s also preparing  a mini series as well. There’s no tentative casting, filming or release date for the project. However, it is something fans can look forward to. Congratulations to singer Marsha Ambrosius and fiance Dez Billups are in order. The couple welcomed a daughter Nyla into the world. Ambrosius broke the news via an Instagram photograph of her entire family. Ambrosius announced her pregnanacy during the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans. No other details are known about the baby girl. Just two days after being shot, rapper Troy Ave has released the visual for the single “No Delay.” The festive clip finds the rapper in the Christmas spirit, as he raps in the comfort of his living room, a curvaceous woman by his side. The video comes after Troy was shot twice in Brooklyn on Christmas night, according to his attorney Scott E. Leemon. The rapper suffered injuries to his arm and back, and was grazed in the head as well. “No Delay” is taken from the album “White Christmas 4.” After receiving two Grammy nominations for the single “All The Way Up”, her collaboration with Fat Joe, rapper Remy Ma is on the prowl. On Sunday, internet critics pondered whether the MC was sending jabs toward Nicki Minaj on her verse on the Phresher single “Wait A Minute (Remix).” In October, Minaj was open to working with Remy during an interview on Ebro In The Morning. Meanwhile, Remy’s verse also takes aim at females with a ghost writer. Representatives for Remy Ma haven’t commented publicly.
