Maybe there is some truth to the rumor that rapper Drake and singer/actress Jennifer Lopez are an item. The Toronto MC recently forked over $100k for a Tiffany & Co. platinum and diamond 16 caret necklace, which Lopez wore at Drake’s New Years Eve concert in Hakkasan in Las Vegas. According to an insider, the fling is going well. They talk all the time. After spending $100k for a necklace after a month or so of dating, I’d say going well is an understatement. Anderson .Paak’s stars continues to rise. In addition to his Grammy nominations, the crooner will assist pop star Bruno Mars on the European leg of his “24K Magic World Tour.” The leg begins on March 28th in Belgium and will include 30 dates until June 15th when in ends in Milan, Italy. Mars will continue his trek until November, coming back to the states this summer. This combination should be epic, as both artists put on an energetic show. Fans can see a complete list of tour dates via Bruno Mars’ website. The whole Soulja Boy/Chris Brown drama turned boxing match has been taken to a new level as singer Kelly Price has confirmed her involvement. Rapper 50 Cent and boxer Floyd Mayweather are acting as promoters of the ordeal, and Mike Tyson has reportedly taken on the role of trainer to Chris Brown. He even recorded a Soulja Boy diss track titled “If You Show Up.” But the event gained more legitimacy when Kelly Price confirmed that she’s involved; she was enlisted by 50 Cent to sing the national anthem. Although no date, time and place for the rumble in hip hop jungle has been announced, unbelievably, it looks like this is really happening. After saying that she’d quit the music industry last year, singer SZA has returned with new music for 2017. Yesterday, the TDE songstress debuted new tracks for fans at New York City’s Neuehouse. One of those songs was the Travis Scott assisted “Love Galore.” According to Billboard, the singer peppers the song with sexual innuendo. The other track is tentatively titled “Drew Barrymore.” The singer revealed that the song was inspired by the actress. Even more than that, the song seems reflective. However, there’s no word on when or if an album will be released. After releasing their club hit “All The Way Up” last year, Fat Joe and Remy Ma are back with the Ty Dolla $ign assisted video “Money Showers.” Premiering exclusively on Tidal, the visual takes place in Miami and recreates scenes from the 19098 film “Players Club.” Anthony Johnson, who appeared in the film, makes a cameo in the strip club themed video. The two trade bars regarding their sexual prowess. Their forthcoming  project “Plata O Plomo” will be released on February 17 and will feature guest appearances by French Montana and The Dream. Rapper DMX is seeking retribution in 2017, along with producer Swizz Beatz. After an active 2016, which included a guest spot on the “Bad Boy  Family Reunion Tour” and a few solo efforts including “Blood Red” and “Moe Wings”, X releases his first single of the year titled “Bane Iz Back.” With Swizz anchoring the hook, the Ruff Ryder sound is alive and well in 2017. For the past few years, Swizz has been promising a comeback album from the rapper. He even offered to executive produce X’s new project. Last year, Swizz indicated that X had recruited Dr. Dre and Kanye West for his comeback project. We’ll have to wait and see if the project sees the light of day.
