Eric Benet Jordan, known professionally as Eric Benet, is a singer/songwriter/producer. He was born in Milwaukee WS, and is the youngest of five siblings. He sang with the group Gerard and later formed a trio with sister Lisa and cousin George Nash Jr. The group released a self titled album which went on to sell 100,000 copies. Benet later began a solo career and signed with Warner Bros. Records. In 1996, he released his debut album “True To Myself.” His sophomore effort, “A Day In The Life”, was released in 1999 and featured a duet with singer Tamia “Spend My Life With You”. The song went to #1 on the Billboard R&B charts, was certified gold and was nominated for a Grammy for “Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group.” “Better And Better” was released in 2001. He signed with Friday Records and released “Hurricane” in 2005. His fourth effort, “Life & Love”, came in 2008. “The One” was released in 2012.
