Singer/actress Demetria McKinney starts a new week with a new visual for her latest single “Easy.” Directed by RTD Entertainment, the clip finds the songstress hitting the stage in a gallery space to sing the confident song about knowing her worth in terms of relationships. The singer stated during an interview that she wanted a video that gave off a cool, sexy, artsy vibe that showcased her as an artist. The track, written by McKinney, Courtlin Jabrae and Devon Horton, is taken from her forthcoming album “Officially Yours”, scheduled to be released this Spring. Considering the recent success of the New Edition biopic released last month, fans have been hoping for a biopic on the beloved bad boys of R&B Jodeci. After a few rumblings, fans can get excited. During an interview with Q102 in San Francisco over the weekend, Mr. Dalvin confirmed that a Jodeci biopic is in the works. A script has been written and production may began as early as next month. VH1 owns the rights and the film may be released by the end of the year. No information regarding casting as been revealed, but Mr. Dalvin confirmed the news via an Instagram post. The film will surely be worth the wait. John Legend is ready to bring some darkness and light to a city near you. The 10 time Grammy winning singer/songwriter/producer has announced dates for his North American tour. The “Darkness & Light Tour” will begin on May 12 in Miami, FL, stopping in 29 cities including Nashville, Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles, New York, and others before wrapping up in New Orleans at the Essence Music Festival. The tour will also feature Grammy nominated singer Gallant as opening act. The tour comes on the heels of Legend’s fifth studio effort “Darkness & Light”, which has received critical acclaim since its release in December. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10:00 a.m. local time. As the official credit card for the “Darkness & Light Tour”, Citi /Advantage card members will be able to purchase pre-sale tickets starting tomorrow through Friday at 10:00 a.m. local time. As a special bundle promotion, each pair of tickets purchased online will include an option to purchase a copy of the “Darkness & Light” album. Rapper Big Sean paid homage to mentor Kanye West with a cover of his single “I Wonder.” In addition to his latest studio effort “I Decided”, Sean visited BBC radio 1Xtra’s Live Lounge to perform a few tracks. Sporting a “I Decided” hat and black jacket, the Detroit rapper performed West’s standout track from the 2007 album “Graduation.” Backed by a live band, the G.O.O.D. Music artist paid tribute with his cover. He also performed some tracks of his own, including “Moves” and “Bounce Back.” His latest effort includes guest appearances by Eminem, Jhene Aiko, Migos and Jeremih.
