In 1997, R&B group Destiny’s Child scored their first hit with the single “No, No, No Pt 2.” It was the second of two versions that appeared on the group’s self titled debut album and was produced by Wyclef Jean. During a recent interview, Jean discussed the inspiration behind the song’s rapid melody by elaborating that he was inspired by the fact that the group was from Houston TX and wanted to give lead singer Beyoncé Knowles a quick flow similar to how Houston rap artists rapped at the time. He added that everything was double timing, but female artists weren’t doing that at the time. At any rate, the method earned Destiny’s Child the first of several hits which will remain timeless. Speaking of Destiny’s Child, former member LeToya Luckett’s rollout for her forthcoming third studio effort “Until Then” began with a lengthy visual for the single “Back 2 Life” back in January.  Now, two additional parts will round out the three part series about the roller coaster relationship between she and her leading man, played by former NFL star Thomas Jones. Yesterday, Luckett teased the second part of the series via Instagram, which looks like it’s full of drama. Congratulations to singer/actress Naturi Naughton are in order. The star of the hit show “Power” is expecting her first child with longtime boyfriend Ben. Naughton, who is due in July, discovered that she was pregnant while filming her hit show in Brooklyn and now her fellow cast members are over protective of her. Congratulations Naturi! In preparation for the release of his forthcoming album “Ransom 2”, producer Mike Will Made It has kept the momentum going by delivering the Future assisted single “Razzle Dazzle.” The high powered track allows Future to thrive over Mike Will’s thunderous production. During an interview, Future indicated that an artist shouldn’t smother Mike’s sound, but rather give him space. In addition to “Razzle Dazzle”, Mike has also released the singles “On The Come Up”, featuring  Big Sean and “Gucci On My”, featuring Migos, 21 Savage and YG.
