musical-notes

As singer and television personality K Michelle prepares her fourth studio effort, she shares new music, one song being an uptempo dance number  featuring singer Chris Brown titled “Either Way.” The singer uploaded a clip of herself gyrating to the tune to her Instagram. Michelle’s follow up to the 2016 release “More Issues Than Vogue” is due out later this year. It appears that singer/actress Brandy is moving on following the legal drama with her record label regarding releasing new music; she’s been forging ahead, getting in the studio and teasing fans with new music. Yesterday, she shared a snippet of the single “Patterns.” Upon listening, Brandy is clearly in her element as she grooves to the song, her signature harmonies and airy vocals on full display. No word on what the single is attached to or when or if it will be released. At any rate, it’s great to see the songstress back on the scene. Singer Sammy is here to make you life “Better.” The crooner returns with the second single from his EP “I’m Him”, which was released last fall. In the sleek visual, the singer pitches his campaign to a new love interest, whom he promises will be treated better by a better man, a man like himself. Sporting a blazer in one shot and an army shirt in another, Sammy woos his sexy co-star. Later, he sits shirtless on a bed in front of her, while continuing his pledge to give her everything. R&B duo Jake & Papa are turning up the heat this spring with the release of the visual for their new single “Phones.” The group brings the sexy slow jam to life in the clip, which co-stars Love & Hip Hop Hollywood’s Moniece Slaughter, who finds a pleasurable escape in a virtual reality world. During an interview, the duo explained that the clip is about a very distinct connection. It’s  intimate and rare. They wanted to take time to bring fans closer. The mission has definitely been accomplished.  Rapper Snoop Dogg never stops recording, even during his time off. In fact, he may be in his home studio working on new music as I write this. For the first single from his forthcoming album “Neva Left”, he sends a direct message to the leeches in  his life. “Promise You This”, produced by Dupri of League Of Stars, is a way for the West Coast rap legend to address those who feel he owes them a hand out. In the visual, he urges all aspiring rappers to put in the work instead of begging him for a deal. “Neva Left” will be released on May 19. Major Lazer, Nicki Minaj and PARTYNEXTDOOR have released the visual for the single “Run Up”, which turned out to be a late night island rooftop hang fest. The clip has also launched the hot new dance FaceTime, which Minaj and Diplo have mastered . Fans can master the move themselves by watching the video at http://www.billboard.com.
