On Friday, singer Tamar Braxton performed her new single “My Man” live for the first time at the Arena Theater in Houston TX. Video captured by an audience member shows Braxton perched on a stool center stage as she delivers the emotional ballad inspired by the divorce of her parents. The musical and vocal arrangements are incredible. Braxton has a hit on her hands.  No word on when a full length album will be released, however.  Singer/songwriter Adrian Marcel is ready to take over the music industry. The Oakland CA native released his debut album “GMFU” last month, and the project has proven to be as honest and authentic as they come. With smooth vocals, honest lyrics and a charismatic personality, Marcel is set to write a new chapter in his life and music career. With a mentor in Raphael Saadiq, three successful mixtapes, and the hit single “2AM” under his belt, Marcel is destined to have a long, illustrious career in the industry. Singer/songwriter Maxwell will head back out on the road on May 23, with the support of Common, Ledisi and Leela James. However, before he brings his smooth vocals to audiences again, fans can get an intimate, behind the scenes look at his tour with Mary J. Blige last year with the documentary “The King & Queen of Hearts World Tour.” The 20 minute black and white film debuted on Tidal a few days ago. In the film, shot backstage and onstage in Europe, Maxwell discusses the chemistry between himself and his band, his journey from waiter to Grammy winning artist and touring with Queen of Hip Hop Soul Mary J. Blige. The clip is well put together and worth watching. DJ/producer DJ Khaled’s latest single “I’m The One”, a collaboration with Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper and Lil Wayne has reached the No. 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100. The single, released via the Best/Def Jam/Epic Records, is the first Hot 100 No. 1 for Khaled, who wrote and produced  it and added vocals as well. It’s the first Hot 100 for Chance The Rapper and Quavo, a member of the rap trio Migos, as a solo artist. Bieber earns his fourth No. 1, while Lil Wayne earns his third. The song dethrones Bruno Mars’ “That’s What I Like” after a week at No. 1 on the Hot 100, although it currently sits a top the Top Songs Chart.
