Sean Michael Leonard Anderson, known professionally as Big Sean, is a rapper/songwriter.  He was born on March 25, 1988 in Santa Monica, CA and later moved to Detroit with his mother. He began his career after developing a relationship with hip hop station WHTD where he would show his rhyme skills weekly as part of a rap battle contest held by the station. In 2005, rapper Kanye West did an interview with 102.7 FM. Discovering this, Big Sean headed over to the station to meet West and perform a freestyle. West was initially reluctant to hear him, but ultimately gave Sean 16 bars to rap for him. Sean released his debut mixtape “Finally Famous” in 2007. In 2009, he released the mixtape “UKNOWBIGSEAN.” He has gone on to release “Finally Famous” (2011), “Hall Of Fame” (2013), “Dark Sky Paradise” (2015), “Twenty88 (2016), “I Decided” (2017) and “Double Or Nothing” (2017).
