After a hiatus, R&B singer/songwriter Janelle Monae returns with two singles. From her forthcoming third studio effort, titled “Dirty Computer”, which the songstress dubs an “Emotion Picture”, come the singles and visuals “Make Me Feel” and “Django Jane.” Taking some inspiration from music icon Prince, Janelle delivers some 1980’s nostalgia as she showcases her more risqué side by dancing and flirting in revealing attire. On “Django Jane”, she shows off her aggressive side by delivering some empowering, thought provoking rhymes while paying tribute to Black History Month and black women around the world. The video was directed by Andrew Donoho and Chuck Lightning and features additional vagina monologue footage directed by Lacey Duke. Janelle was been in the studio with producers Julia Michaels and Chuck Lightning working on “Dirty Computer”, which will include a narrative film. The album is now available for pre-order and will be released on April 27. British singer Shakka teams up with singer Aluna George on his latest single “Man Down.” As he sings about a lady who wants to be his wife, Aluna comes in to shut him down. Inspired by Craig David and Usher, “Man Down” is Shakka’s take on R&B with a crossover pop hook. Aluna George compliments Shakka’s powerful vocal delivery with smooth vocal harmonies of her own while Jae5 (J Hus) collaborated on the production. London based singer Alicia Grace has released her latest single “Rain.” Produced by Stevey Reid, “Rain” is an exploration of self. At 19, Grace is well aware of the complexities of life and highlights that awareness in such a mature manner that forgetting her age is natural. Alicia Grace was born and raised in Winchester UK, and moved to London at age 16 where she studied music at BIMM London. Fans can expect more from this lovely, talented lady in the future. Oakland’s own 1-O.A.K. returns with his first release since 2017’s “Riding In Cars With Girls.” The singer/producer teams up with Trackademicks on the single “Give Up The Goods”, where he describes a scenario where he enjoys being the side piece. Rapper Shady Nate comes in to describe his own affair where he gets it in on the same furniture that she does with her man. After making waves with his underground album, 1-O.A.K. is slated to have an amazing year. He’s well on his way with “Give Up The Goods.” Following the success of his single “Booty”, Memphis based rapper Blac Youngsta has released his highly anticipated debut album “223..” The 14 track project features special guest appearances by French Montana, Travis Scott, LunchMoney Lewis and Yo Gotti. Blac Youngsta teams with Travis Scott “Heavy Camp.” On the track, he raps about his life before stardom and being able to achieve success despite hardships and doubts. On “Strength”, Youngsta raps about the natural disasters in the South, the water issues in Flint Michigan and his brother’s passing. The album features the production work of Tay Keith, Scott Storch, Murda Beatz and Youngsta himself. Blac Youngsta is slated to perform on TRL on Monday. “Booty” racked up over nine million streams on Spotify and its official video received over one million views on You Tube. Blac Youngsta has a bright future ahead of him. California rapper Joe Moses has inked a recording contract with Atlantic Records/THMVMNT , home of rapper Ty Dolla $ign. In addition to announcing his new recording deal, Moses has also released the single “Back Goin Brazy”, a collaboration with rapper Future. With that single and the forthcoming EP “Sowop”, Moses will definitely continue to cause a stir on the hip hop scene.
Miles Parks McCollum, known professionally as Lil Yachty, is a rapper/songwriter from Atlanta, GA. Born on August 23, 1997, he began his career with a move from his hometown to New York City. He stayed with a friend and networked with online street fashion personalities while building his Instagram following. He rose to prominence after the Soundcloud version of his single “One Night” was used in a viral comedy video. In February 2016, he debuted as a model for rapper Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 3 fashion line at Madison Square Garden. He released his debut mixtape “Lil Boat” in March 2016. On May 26, 2017, he released his debut full length studio effort “Teenage Emotions.” He recently took to social media to announce that the follow up to “Lil Boat”, “Lil Boat 2”, will be released on March 9.

Rapper Tyga showcases his vocal chops on his latest single “U Cry.” “U Cry” is taken from Tyga’s latest studio effort, “KYOTO”, which features special guest appearances by Tory Lanez, Ja Rule, Ashanti and 24hrs. In the “U Cry” visual, Tyga professes his love for his lady while walking his dog and playing the piano. “U Cry” is the follow up to the single “Temperature.” The song is an ode to his failed relationship with Kylie Jenner. The clip was directed by Arrad Rahoshay of Riveting Entertainment. Khalid and Normani recently released the duet “Love Lies”, taken from the “Love, Simon” soundtrack, and now they’ve released a visual to support the track. The clip opens with a text message from Khalid that reads:”Are you down?”. A short time later, Normani responds with “Always.” The video later transitions to Khalid, who is an outside employee at a hotel. After he delivers his verse, Normani pulls up in a vintage vehicle, and he opens her door. Without speaking, Normani heads to her room, dropping her outer garment along with way, before setting up shop by a window in the skyrise. Clad in a t-shirt and underwear, the Fifth Harmony member unleashes a sexy dance routine while Khalid watches from the street below. The clip ends with Khalid sending happy emojis via text. “Love Khalid”, he closes, to which his co-star replies, “Love Normani.” On the track produced by Jack Antonoff, which the two singers co-wrote, they deliver delightful, heartfelt vocals as they question one another’s love. Singer Tinashe extends the reach of her single “Faded Love”, a collaboration with rapper Future, with a sexy dance video. The clip begins with the songstress on the floor in a white bra and matching underwear along with fishnet stockings before she arises and begins to seduce the camera with a sexy dance routine. “Faded Love” is the follow up to the single “No Drama” and will be appear on Tinashe’s long delayed forthcoming album “Joyride.” During an interview, the singer indicated that album has been mixed and will be released soon. Despite a four year gap between projects, the star kept busy with the projects “Amehthyst” and “Nightride.” Following the success of her album “The Evolution Of Shardella”, rising singer/songwriter Shardella Sessions shows no signs of slowing down. She earned industry recognition with her debut album, which peaked at No. 1 and has remained on Amazon’s US charts for 13 weeks. While the possibility of a new Outkast album coming to fruition seems highly unlikely, the brotherhood between Big Boi and Andre 3000 remains strong. On Tuesday, the Atlanta duo reunited at the premiere of the screening of the USA series “Unsolved: The Murders Of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G.” and Big Boi shared a photograph on his Instagram. In the photo, the two were all smiles as they posed. We’ll have to wait and see if the pair ever return to the studio. It looks like rapper Lil Yachty is finally ready to release the follow up to his 2016 project “Lil Boat.” The Atlanta native took to Instagram to announce that “Lil Boat 2” will be released on March 9. It will be the first full length studio effort from the MC since the 2017 effort “Teenage Emotions.” The rapper also hinted at a possible collaboration with Gucci Mane and Migos.

Daron Tavaris Jones, known professionally as Daron Jones, is a singer/songwriter/producer/performer from Atlanta, GA. He began his career by singing in church and learning to play piano on his grandmother’s porch. He released his debut album “Uncensored” in 2010. He released the Christmas album “Christmas In Atlanta” in 2014. He as gone on to release “The Unofficial Diary Of Daron Jones Vol 1 and 2”, both of which featured covers of R&B classics. Jones has also written and produced tracks for Usher, Pink, The Isley Brothers and others. In addition to his solo work, Jones is a member of the R&B group 112, which released the album “Q, Mike, Slim, Daron” in October 2017.

The crooner cleared up rumors regarding his ex-wife Monyetta Shaw and current wife Crystal Renay. As for music, the “Good Man” album features special guest appearances from PARTYNEXTDOOR, Eric Bellinger, Ty Dolla $ign, 2 Chainz, Stefflon Don, Bebe Rexha and Romeo Santos. Ne-Yo gave a very enlightening and entertaining interview and fans will enjoy his new music. Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz released “Pretty Girls Like Trap Music” less than a year ago. He followed that up with the EP “The Play Don’t Care Who Makes It” a week-and-a-half ago, and shows no signs of slowing down. Over the weekend, 2 Chainz announced a new album, “Rap Or Go To The League.” But the big news about the album isn’t the title, or even it’s existence, but how 2 Chainz announced it; on a giant blimp, painted with the album title, with 2 Chainz himself riding in it. Further details regarding the album haven’t been released yet.
