musical-notesWhile the late Michael Jackson loved his “PYT”, singer Leon Thomas is all for the “PLW” a.k.a “pretty little weapon” on the latest single from his EP “Genesis.” The song contains plenty of reverb as Leon sings about his lady’s swag. “PLW” is the follow up to the singles “Sunken Place” and “Favorite”, featuring Buddy. “Genesis” is due out this Friday and features a special guest appearance by Elle Varner. To support her recently released album “No Rain, No Flowers”, singer Sabrina Claudio has announced an accompanying tour of the same name. The 13 city trek will begin on October 12 in San Diego, CA and conclude on November 6 in New York. Tickets go on sale Friday August 24, 2018 via Sabrina Claudio’s official web site. Grammy nominated singer Lloyd will release his fifth studio effort, “TRU”, on August 31, 2018, via Young Goldie Music/Empire. To build anticipation for the project, he’s unveiled the 11-song tracklist, which features special guests appearances from Seven Streeter, Curren$y, Rick Ross and Lil Wayne. Lloyd has indicated that this is the most personal music he has released to date. Fans will enjoy this one.  Brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence have released two new singles titled “Moonlight” and “When I Fall In Love.” Both songs contain vocal samples: “Moonlight” samples the jazz standard “When I Fall In Love” performed originally by Swedish a cappella group The Real Group, and “Where Angles Fear To Tread” contains a sample of “Fools Rush In”, performed originally by The Four Freshmen. Both samples are infused over Disclosure’s signature EDM tracks. With these two offerings  and the single “Ultimatum”, the duo is currently working on an album or EP. Following the success of his single “Get Through This”, Aaron Taylor has announced that his EP “Long Way Home” will be available on August 24, 2018. With three of eight tracks already unveiled, Taylor delivers the music video for “I Think I Love You Again.” The clip finds Taylor making his way to the home of his significant other, but it shows two women awaiting his arrival. The question is which one is he visiting. Detroit producer Apollo Brown and rapper Joell Ortiz have joined forces for a collaborative project. The pair announced that “Mona Lisa” will be released on October 26 via Mello Music Group. They’ve also released the album’s first single “Decisions”, to give fans a taste of what’s to come. Rapper Nicki Minaj has cancelled the forthcoming NickiHndrxx co-headling tour with Future and Taekashi 69 stating that she wants to reevaluate elements of the show. No word on when or if the tour will be rescheduled.
