R&B duo Jake & Papa has released several singles throughout the year, and now they return with the EP “The R.O.S.E. Tape.” The project features six songs that probably didn’t make the cut  from their forthcoming EP “Tattoos & Blues”, due this fall. “Yaeyae” contains a bouncy hook, and “Always Be” contains a sample of the Mariah Carey hit “Always Be My Baby.” Fans will enjoy this one. Last Thursday, New Edition members Ronnie DeVoe, Bobby Brown, Ricky Bell and Michael Bivins visited Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club.” During the 40-minute interview, the group discussed the upcoming BET movie “The Bobby Brown Story”, set to air on September 9, a forthcoming tour and why Ralph Tresvant and Johnny Gill were absent. Bobby Brown also revealed that he felt responsible for Ricky Bell’s drug addiction and shared his thoughts on rapper Pusha T.’s album cover, which shows the drug infested bathroom of his late ex-wife Whitney Houston. Needless to say, the interview was entertaining and enlightening.  Miguel’s visual “Banana Clip”, taken from his latest album “War & Leisure”, will get the Spanish treatment on the upcoming deluxe edition. Directed by Manson, the lo-fi clip sees a juxtaposition between flirty, feminine, fancy and militant women in the name of love. Miguel relaxes in the back seat of a car before the women join him for a secretive mission. “Banana Clip” is worth watching. From the late 1980’s to the early 1990’s, singer/songwriter Melisa Morgan blessed R&B fans with her incredible voice. She began her career as a background vocalist for Chaka Khan and Whitney Houston before emerging as an artist in her own right with such hits as “Do Me Baby”, “Love Changes”, “Fool’s Paradise” and “Still In Love With You.” Morgan continues to tour and participate in musical projects. She just released the album “Love Demands” via Cleopatra Records. It’s her first project in ten years. The album features six new songs as well as covers of songs by Al Green, Aretha Franklin, The Supremes and Otis Redding. Today marks what would have been Michael Jackson’s 60th birthday. The icon will live on through the celebration of his music. In honor of the milestone birthday, the King of Pop’s team enlisted the services of producer Mark Ronson to create a special mix of MJ classics. The 5-minute club ready tribute, titled “Diamonds Are Invincible”, includes such favorites as “Don’t Stop  Til You Get Enough”, “Smooth Criminal”, “Human Nature” , “The Way You Make Me Feel” and more. According to Ronson, working on “Diamonds Are Invincible” was  an awe-inspiring and insanely intimidating task to put together. May the King of Pop rest in peace. Nao returns with the single “Make It Out Alive”, a duet with fellow singer Sir. Taken from her sophomore album, Nao brings her vocals to the song , proving her ability to convey emotion through music and lyrics. Sir’s distinctive vocals flow effortlessly with hers, creating a truly supreme collaboration. Noa’s highly anticipated sophomore album is due out later this year. Following the release of the single “Holy Shit” earlier this month, rapper Amir Obe unveiled the rest of his album “Can’t Be A_Here: Chapter 1” on Friday. The four track project will be the first of a three part series. The project follows the Detroit native’s 2017 EP “None Of The Clocks

Dinero’s debut album will be released soon.
