R&B singers Dawn Richard and Willie Taylor appear on the soundtrack for the forthcoming film “Kinky.” The project features five exclusive tracks from Dawn, who stars in the film, and three from Willie, who also stars in the film. Independent artist Breazelle also contributes three tracks to the opus, which will be released on September 21, 2018 via Caroline/Universal Music Group. The album includes 15 tracks and includes 3 songs from R&B/hip hip producer/artist Durty So Clean, including the title song, “Kinky”, which was written for the film and was performed by Shemida J and Durty So Clean. The independent film”Kinky” will arrive in theaters on October 12. Dawn Richard stars as a successful surgeon whose affair with a handsome investment counselor delves into B&D at her behest. Vivica A. Fox, Robert Richard, Obba Babatunde, Jazmin Lewis, and Darrin Henson round out the cast. “Kinky” was directed by Claude LaMarre and produced by LaMarre and Michael Mendelsohn. A month ago, media queen turned R&B artist Queen Naija released her debut EP to critical acclaim. The project featured the single “Karma”, which topped the Emerging Artists Chart. Now, to capitalize on the momentum, she’s released a live performance video of the track along with an explanation of the song. Following her explanation, the songstress delivered an emotion filled performance of the song accompanied by an acoustic guitarist. American dancehall singer/songwriter Future Fambo has released a new single, a remix of “How We Living”, a duet with Gucci Mane. So how are Fambo and Gucci living? Very lavishly, judging from the video. The clip brings viewers into a playboy mansion lair where where Fambo and Gucci are shown surrounded by beautiful women in a tropical location. There’s dancing, fast cars, women, bubbles and water guns. Sounds like fun! Bay Area based singer Janel Marisse has released the single “Clock In”, which was produced by Grammy award winning producer Bongo By The Way. The uptempo number finds the songstress demanding that her love interest work for her affections, like punching a time clock. Janel recently released the track “Closet Full Of Lies” via Tidal while she prepares her forthcoming EP, due this fall. Singer Bobby V. delivers the second single and video from his album “Electrik” titled “Beautiful Life.” The song is about Bobby’s life as an entertainer as he endures long nights of traveling and being away from his family in order to provide for them. The clip cross cuts between Bobby on tour and footage of him and his real-life family, including his daughter. The clip is worth watching. Following the release of their new single,  Maya and Tink appear in a music video for their empowering duet “G.M.O. (Got My Own).” The confident yet playful anthem states that while the ladies are independent women who hold their own, they do welcome the right man treating and spoiling them. Produced by MyGuyMars and Resource, G.M.O. (Got My Own)”, follows Maya’s stellar album “T.K.O”, which was released in April, one day before the anniversary of her debut album. Rapper Logic continues to build anticipation for his forthcoming album “YSIV” by releasing the cover art for his project. Serving as an ode his “Sinatra” installments, Logic is shown in mugshot mode. Logic has released several tracks, including “YSIV Freestyle”, which hit airwaves last week.  Prior to that, Logic blessed fans with “The Return”, which signaled a return to his “Sinatra” roots. After blasting his critics on his 10th studio effort, “Kamikaze”, rapper Eminem takes another swipe at the opposition in the visual for his single “Fall.” The clip begins with Eminem scrolling through alerts on his phone regarding his performance on  “Revival.” Vexed by the negative reviews, Eminem walks out of a car, leaving Royce Da 5’9″ and Mr. Porter confused. In hopes of relaxing, Eminem tries to get some fresh air, but ends up being chased by a mysterious black figure. At the end of the video, a foot is seen crushing the “Revival” CD. Fans should check this one out.
