The Moments are an American R&B vocal trio that rose to prominence during the 1970’s. The group was formed in the 1960’s in Washington, DC and initially began as a quartet. The original members of The Moments are Mark Greene, Eric Olfus Sr., Richard Gross and John Morgan. The group went through several personnel changes before settling on the lineup of Harry Ray, Al Goodman and Billy Brown. The Moments had their greatest commercial success after signing with Stang Records. They scored with the hits “Not On The Outside”, “If I Didn’t Care”, “Love On A Two Way Street”, “Look At Me (I’m In Love)” and “Sexy Mama.” They moved to Polydor Records in 1979. For legal reasons, they changed their name to Ray, Goodman and Brown and scored with the hits “Special Lady”, “Inside You” and “Happy Anniversary” to name a few. A lineup of The Moments, including original member Mark Greene, still performs today.
