Newcomer MicahBlu means business when it comes to her man. In the music video for her new single, “Do Or Die”, the Atlanta based singer/songwriter steals her parent’s Bentley, scoops up her man, and hits the road for a night of flirtatious fun. After cruising the city and spending some time under the stars, the clip transitions to the bright lights, which show MicahBlu center stage, performing at a venue. She remains focused on her man despite working a little. The visual is also a 2018 adaptation of the classic Romeo & Juliet love story with a fresh twist. MicahBlue aims to show women, young and old, that it’s okay to care for someone intensely in the age of “Netflix & Chill” relationships. “Do Or Die” is a feel good pop/R&B number that describes what love should be like. Singer/songwriter Quincy returns with the seductive new single “Devour.” The follow up to the single “Snuggle Up” finds the crooner on a mission to put it down in the bedroom. If you’re a free spirited individual, “Devour” will set the mood perfectly. If you’re the conservative type, Quincy’s lyrics will turn you off. Nonetheless, listen to “Devour” and see if it’s for you. Caribbean singer Vanessa Bling has just released the EP “Still Standing.” Prior to this, she released the single “10 Bags”, which prepared fans for the EP. The project features six tracks that showcase what she’s been through and her mindset. For those unaware, Vanessa Bling aka Gaza Strip, had legal trouble at the beginning of her career, which forced her to put her music career on hold. Now, she’s back and ready to carve out her own niche in the industry. Vanessa intends to release a few more songs from the EP. She’s also planning a Caribbean tour, which will also visit Europe and the United States. She’ll also do a 3-month African trek. Vanessa is ready to claim what’s hers and doesn’t intend to miss any opportunities this time around. Vietnamese-American singer Trace has unveiled her new music video, “Side Eye.” The visual was directed by Nathan Presley. In the clip, Trace dances around various parts of Los Angeles, dressed in pajamas, and a gold robe. She’s apparently fond of football fields as well. “Side Eye” follows Trace’s debut EP “Low”, which has amassed 40 million streams and earned her comparisons to Lana Del Rey and James Blake. Rapper Cardi B returns to the airwaves with her new single “Money”, her first solo release since her debut album, “Invasion Of Privacy.” “Money” comes on the heels of Cardi’s interview on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and is her first since giving birth this year. Cardi recently took home four BET Hip Hop Awards, including MVP Of The Year, Sweet 16: Best Featured Verse, Made-You-Look Awards and Hustler Of The Year. She also won 3 American Music Awards, including Favorite Song: Rap/Hip Hop. Cardi B is currently nominated for 3 People’s Choice Awards. R&B singer Emily King returns to music with her new single “Remind Me”, a soulful, offering with an 80s feel. “Remind Me” features 808s, bass synths, and classic Rhodes style piano sounds backed by Emily’s eclectic vocals. “Remind Me” follows Emily’s 2015 project “Switch”, which was released as a deluxe edition in 2016. No word on when her next album will be released. Singer/songwriter Brian McKnight has shared the music video for his new single “42 (Grown Up Tipsy)”, a song that finds McKnight sipping with  the hope of indulging in adult behavior with his lady. In the clip, directed by his son Niko McKnight, and shot at their California home, McKnight sips on Don Julio 42, while showing how he caters to his lady, played by his wife Lelani McKnight, even when he’s under the influence. “42 (Grown Up Tipsy)” was produced by Tim Kelley of Tim & Bob and written by McKnight and his son Brian McKnight Jr. “42 (Grown Up Tipsy)” should appear on McKnight’s upcoming 14th studio album.
