R&B singer Avery Wilson returns to the spotlight with  the EP “FYI.” The 5-song project showcases the singer/songwriter’s growth as an artist while highlighting his evolution as a young man and artist in the entertainment industry. “FYI” was written and produced entirely by Avery. At 16, Avery appeared on the hit NBC show “The Voice”, catching the attention of mogul Clive Davis. Under Davis’ leadership, Avery honed his singing skills, thus earning a reputation as a promising R&B vocalist. UK singer/songwriter Ray BLK aims to inspire with her new EP “Empress.” The 8-song project features the hard hitting, youth crime themed single “Run, Run”, and the equally powerful follow-up, “Empress”, and explores difficult, complex issues with depth, humor and candor. In addition to music, Ray demonstrated her love for the youth with a school tour around London, which aimed to empower young people 12-18 by sharing stories and offering advice. “Empress” is the follow-up to Ray BLK’s debut EP “Durt.” British singer Leona Lewis joins forces with Swedish artist/producer Hellberg on the single, “Headlights.” Released via Sony Music, the song marks a new direction in Hellberg’s career, as he shifts toward a pop sound. The energetic, uptempo “Headlights” is cleverly written and blends pop, EDM and island vibe and features vocals from Grammy nominated singer Leona Lewis. The accompanying music video depicts the independence and complexities of romantic relationships. Starring Hellberg, the clip was filmed and directed  in Los Angeles by Frank Borin and finds Hellberg in a tight situation as he fights to stay alive. Leona Lewis is currently in the studio. R&B veteran Keith Sweat has released his 13th studio album, Playing For Keeps”, the follow-up to 2016’s “Dress To Impress.” The project features the singles “How Many Ways”, a duet with K-Ci  Hailey of Jodeci and “Boomerang”, a duet with Candace Price. “How Many Ways” reached #5 on AC radio and received 4 million streams. In addition K-Ci Hailey and Candace Price, the album also features special guest appearances from Teddy Riley, Tank, Alkaline, Akon and Ray Fade. As heard on his previous efforts, “Playing For Keeps” features sensual, romantic ballads, some inspired by his own experiences, that tap into the listeners emotions. The album also features the bonus tracks “Naked”  and “Easy.” The news comes after the announcement that Ella has been nominated for four Soul Train Music Awards, including Best R&B/Soul Female Artist, The Ashford & Simpson Songwriter’s Award for “Boo’d Up”, Song of The Year for “Boo’d Up” and Video of the Year for “Boo’d Up.” Rapper Lil Kim goes the dancehall route on her new single “Nasty One.” The veteran hip hop artist collaborates with Stefflon Don, Kranium and HoodCelebrityy on the track produced by iLlWayno. Lil Kim is currently in the studio working on her next project. Grammy nominated singer Jessie J gets in the holiday spirit with the release of her first holiday album, “This Christmas Day.” The 11-song project features special guest appearances from Boyz To Men and Babyface as well as the holiday classics “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” and “Silent Night”, produced by David Foster. Jessie J. is currently on her “The R.O.S.E. Tour.” The tour wraps up in Los Angeles on November 1. Following the release of “Never Ask” earlier this month, rapper ishDARR unveils the final single prior to the release of his sophomore album on Friday. The Milwaukee native tapped Trackside and Take A Day Trip to handle the production work. The 22-year-old MC’s self-released “Slow Down, Kid” album features 14 tracks and the production work of Internet Money, Golden Child, Nick Mira, Nostxlogic, Johnny Yukon, Bizness Boi, Canis Major, who executive produced the project and more. He kept the momentum going by making his acting debut in the film “White Boy Rick.” Fans can expect more from him in the future.
