Anthony Hamilton is an American singer/songwriter from Charlotte, NC. He began singing in the church choir at age 10. In 1992, Hamilton met producer Mark Sparks who encouraged him to leave Charlotte for New York City where he signed with Uptown Records. Hamilton co-wrote “U Know What’s Up” for Donnell Jones. In 2000, he joined singer DeAngelo on an international tour to promote the album “Voodoo”, on which he was a backup singer. Hamilton appeared on the Nappy Roots single “Po Folks”, which earned a Grammy Award nomination for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. Hamilton went on to do three additional collaborations with the Nappy Roots; “Sick & Tired”, “Push On” and “Organic.” He also collaborated with rapper Jadakiss on the single “Why” in 2004. As a solo artist Hamilton has released the albums “XTC” (1996), “Coming From Where I’m From” (2003), “Ain’t Nobody Worrying” (2005), “The Point Of It All” (2008), “Back To Love” (2011), “Home For The Holidays” (2014) and “What I’m Feeling” (2016).
