While the future of R&B quartet 112 is uncertain, members Slim and Mike hope to give fans a positive outlook with their new collaborative single “Tonight.” On the track, both crooners deliver sexually charged vocals over simple production. The new single follows 112’s 2017 release “Q, Mike, Slim, Daron”, which features the singles “Dangerous Games” and “Both Of Us”, featuring Jagged Edge. Hopefully, the guys will work their issues out. Los Angeles based independent R&B artist Tickwanya Jones has released the emotion filled single “Prove It.” “Prove It” features modern production and  a bass heavy groove while Tickwanya’s powerful vocals bring the song’s thought-provoking lyrics to life. Tickwanya is a native of Richmond, VA, and graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music. She developed a love for music at an early age. Her musical influences include Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, Anita Baker, Patti LaBelle, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Tammi Terrell, Whitney Houston, Fantasia, Jennifer Hudson, Beyonce and Jessie J. Her vocal ability, stage presence and ability to captivate listeners are assets on and off the stage. As an artist, Tickwanya hopes that her music connects with listeners on a personal level, providing an emotional release. Def Jam Records has just released the debut album of Domincian-American emerging artist DaniLeigh. Featuring the lead single “Lil Bebe” and the remix featuring Lil Baby, the project contains 13 tracks and special guest appearances from YBN Nahmir, YG, Lil Yachty, and Bill$. DaniLeigh, aka Danielle Curiel, rose to prominence after directing the Prince video “Breakfast Can Wait.” Prior to that, her journey seemed predetermined. Her mother was a dancer, and other family members sang. In addition to the new album, DaniLeigh will launch the “Be Yourself Tour” on January 31 in San Francisco, and wrap things up on February 26 in Denver, CO. Following the release of the singles “Trust My Lonely”, “Growing Pains” and “Not Today”, Def Jam recording artist Alessia Cara returns to the airwaves with her highly anticipated sophomore effort , “The Pains Of Growing.” The 15 track project is a self-penned, autobiographical album chroncling her personal experiences over the past few years. The album’s cover art, shot by superduperbrick, shows Alessia in an oversuit, which she wore in the “Trust My Lonely” and “Growing Pains” videos in addition to appearances on Fallon, Colbert and The Today Show. Fans will enjoy this one. To celebrate his 34th birthday on Wednesday, singer/songwriter Trey Songz released the surprise double mixtape “11.28.” Featuring twenty tracks, the project includes the singles “How Dat Sound” (featuring 2 Chainz and Yo Gotti) and “Shooting Shots” (featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Tory Lanez) and includes additional special guest appearances by Chris Brown, Swae Lee, Fabulous, Jeremih, Dave East and more. The mixtape marks Trey’s first body of work since 2017’s “Tremaine The Album”, which reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200. In addition, Trey will appear in the film “Blood Brother.” The action  thriller, which  hits theaters today, also stars rapper Fetty Wrap.  Chance The Rapper surprised fans with the tracks “The Man Who Has Everything” and “My Own Thing” today. On “The Man Who Has Everything”, the MC mixes thoughts of materialism with more serious concerns. On “My Own Thing”, he seeks out his own lane without anyone trying to interrupt. Chance has a lot on his plate. In addition to starring in the Amazon Prime film “Slice”, he’s also developing a musical titled Hope and will appear as a judge along side Cardi B. and T.I. in the Netflix talent show Rhythm + Flow. and will be part of the cast of the sequel to Trolls. Two months after the release of the chart topping “Drip Harder”, rapper Lil Baby returns with the mixtape “Street Gossip.” The project features special guest appearances by Young Thug, Offset, 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane, Gunna, Meek Mill and more.
