Eric Bellinger Jr. is an American singer/songwriter/producer from Los Angeles, CA. He began his career as a member of the R&B group AKNU. The group was singed to Epic Records and in 2010 Bellinger was invited to join the songwriting collective The Writing Camp. Bellinger co-wrote material for Selena Gomez and the Scene, Jacob Latimore and Big Time Rush. In 2012, he contributed the song “Death Penalty” to rapper The Game’s mixtape “California Republic.” Bellinger went on to contribute several songs to The Game’s album “The Documentary”, for which he gained recognition and signed a publishing deal with Sony ATV. However, complications with his songwriting catalog lead Bellinger to lead Sony and sign with publisher BMI. In 2013, Bellinger released a three-part series of mixtapes titled “Born To Sing Vol. 1”, “Born To Sing Vol. 2” and “Born To Sing Vol. 3.” On May 17, 2014, Bellinger released his debut album “The Rebirth.” He has also released the albums “Cuffing Season” (2015), “Cuffing Season Pt. 2” (2015) and “Eazy Call” (2018).

Singer/songwriter 28th Star closes 2018 with the release of his first EP, “Paradise”, a six-track project which blends R&B, pop and dance music. He developed the formula in New York City. 28th Star’s single “Down Under”, featuring Kevin McCall and LongLiveCzar, struck a chord with fans and the press alike this year, and 2019 promises more recognition. 28th Star shares warmth and positive energy on the EP “Paradise”, and he’s also shared a visual for the title track. “Paradise” is now available via all streaming platforms. Rapper 21 Savage has scored his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with his latest studio effort, “I am > I Was.” The project was released on Dec. 21 via Slaughter Gang/Epic Records and moved 131,000 units in the week ending Dec. 27 according to Neilsen Music. Of that sum, 18,000 were in traditional album sales, as a bulk of the album was driven by streaming activity. “I Am > I Was” is 21 Savage’s second studio album and marks his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and his fourth entry overall. He previously hit the chart with “Without Warning” (with Offset and Metro Boomin), his debut solo album “Issa Album” and “Savage Mode” (with Metro Boomin). 21 Savage also placed five singles on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart, through the most recent list published on Dec. 29, 2018. Rapper Def Loaf has released the EP, “Go Def Go Vol. 1.” The six song project follows “Liberated”, her collaboration with Leon Bridges, which was released earlier this year and which she promoted by paying for marriage licenses in New York. “Go Def Go Vol. 1” features the tracks “Last Time I Checked” and “Who Gon Stop Us?” as well as four new songs.

Shayaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, known professionally as 21 Savage, is an American rapper/songwriter/producer from Atlanta, GA. Abraham-Joseph began rapping following the death of a friend, naming himself after the event although Savage came from Instagram predictions. His music career was initially subsidized by the uncle of a deceased friend, who paid for studio time in 2013. On November 12, 2014, he released his debut single, “Picky.” It was included on his debut mixtape, “The Slaughter Tape”, which was released on May 25, 2015. On July 2, 2015, he released the collaborative project, “Free Guwop” with Sonny Digital. The EP was a tribute to influence and fellow Atlanta native Gucci Mane. On December 1, 2015, Abraham-Joseph released his second mixtape, “Slaughter King.” He has released the full length studio albums “Issa Album” (2017), “Without Warning” (with Offset and Metro Boomin) (2017) and “I am > I Was” (2018).

Last summer, “Love & Hip Hop: New York” star Amina Buddafly released the album “Mother”, headed by the title track. She produced the album with Jordan Ruiz, Magnedo 7, Mike City, Lee Major and Novel, who also appears on the track “Happy Girl.” She also collaborated with her twin sister Jazz Buddafly on the track “Unbothered.” The two formed the duo Black Buddafly. On the track, the sisters deliver smooth, confident vocals about ignoring hate and negativity. The accompanying music video shows the ladies relaxing at home and other places. The sisters also have some bonding time in the clip. Amina’s “Mother” album is the follow up to her 2016 EP “Music In My Room.” Veteran R&B singer JoJo recently re-recorded and re-released her first two albums, which serve as a gift to fans. Both albums feature her powerful vocals as well as new production. While it’s unclear what prompted the remakes, it’s possible that the motivation to get both projects on all streaming services is the fact that both have been missing for years. JoJo endured years of legal battles with her record label, Blackground Records, who also held albums by the late Aaliyah and R&B veteran Tank in captivity. Earlier this year, singer Elijah Blake teamed with fellow artist Jordin Sparks for the remix of “Rendezvous”, taken from his critically acclaimed album “Audiology.” Now, he returns with the mixtape “Bijoux 23.” The 8 song project, which he recorded in his Los Angeles studio with producer SLMN, showcases Elijah’s undeniable talent. The project also serves as the sequel to “Bijoux 22.” Elijah also plans to release an album in 2019. In the meantime, fans can enjoy “Bijoux 23.” Singer Bobby V breaches the conversation surrounding the King of R&B, not with his comments this time, but with the single “King Me.” On the track, the veteran singer/songwriter/producer/musician goes over his resume of 20 years in the game, making it clear that he’s earned what he has while giving listeners reason to declare him king. For those unaware, social media has been on fire for the past few weeks after newcomer Jacquees declared himself the King of R&B. During the uproar, Bobby V stated that he should be in the top five. Nevertheless, Bobby released his seventh studio effort, “Electrik”, earlier this year, which is headed by the single “Lil Bit”, featuring Snoop Dogg.
