Jacques Berman Webster, known professionally as Travis Scott, is an American rapper/singer/songwriter/producer from Houston, TX. He began his career as a member of the rap duo The Graduates along with longtime friend Chris Holloway. The Graduates released their debut EP via the social networking site  My Space in 2008. The following year, Webster and classmate OG Chess formed the group the Classmates. The Classmates released two projects, “Buddy Rich” in 2009 and “Cruisin USA” in 2010. Webster handled the production work on both projects. In late 2012, the duo disbanded due to personal and financial disputes. Webster’s first full length project was the mixtape “Owl Pharaoh”, which was set for release as a free download in 2012. However, the project was delayed and slated for a later release. The project was later re-created by rapper Kanye West and Mike Dean, and was delayed again due to sample clearance issues. On April 23, 2013, “Owl Pharaoh” was officially released via iTunes. On September 4, 2015, Webster released his debut full length studio album “Rodeo.”  He has released the albums “Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight” (2016) and “Astroworld.” (2018).
