Marsha Ambrosius is an English singer/songwriter from Liverpool, England. She began her career as a member of the Neo-Soul duo Floetry. Floetry recording three albums, “Floetic”, “Floacism” and “Flo’Ology.” As a solo artist, Ambrosius composed and sang background vocals on the Michael Jackson hit “Butterflies.” She was also featured on the Styles P single “I’m Black” and “Start From Scratch” and “Why Do You Hate The Game” by The Game. In the summer of 2009, Ambrosius was approached by several record labels following a performance at SOBs where she was accompanied by The Roots and DJ Aktive. In December 2009, Ambrosius signed with J Records. On March 1, 2011, she released her debut solo album “Late Nights & Early Mornings.” She has also released the albums “Friends & Lovers” (2014) and “Nyla” (2018).
