Love Nick Cannon or hate him, you have to respect his hustle. The entertainment mogul has his hands in several projects, but it appears that he’s going back to his first love, music. The actor/rapper/comedian/entrepreneur/radio/television personality recently formed the band Ncredible Gang, and it looks like the bulk of his energy will go into the project. He’s released several singles, including collaborations with Fat Joe, Jeremih and others, and now he delivers the single “Nobody Else”, featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Jacquees. “Nobody Else” is smooth and mellow and finds the trio delivering verses about their crushes. “Nobody Else” is worth checking out. As the documentary “Surviving R. Kelly” inches closer to its air date, the 52-year-old R&B veteran releases the single “Born To My Music.” “Born To My Music” is a Chicago stepping song that sees Kelly detailing the impact his music has had on people all over the world. The first episode of “Surviving R. Kelly” airs tomorrow. The 6-part docu-series includes interviews with Kelly’s former friends, family members and colleagues, but most notably young women who claim that for decades the singer/songwriter/producer used  his power and influence to sexually and physically abuse girls and women. “Surviving R. Kelly” will air on Lifetime. Emerging R&B singer Ann Marie just released the single “Secret”, featuring YK Osiris. On the collaboration, the Chicago native uses her upper register, resulting in a sultry delivery backed by keys and bass. “Secret” highlights the early stages of a relationship blind to the world, filled with excitement regarding what the future holds. 2018 was a breakout year for Ann Marie, as she racked up 403k Instagram followers and earned 6 million streams on Spotify. In April, Ann Marie shared the EP “Tripolar”, which contains the single “Handle It.” Emerging artist Ali Caldwell, who has appeared on the television shows “The Four” and “The Voice”, has released the single “Colors.” The uptempo number showcases the New Jersey native’s vocal range. The track has an old school R&B feel with a modern pop twist with Ali’s vocals soaring over the production. “Colors” is about embracing beauty, diversity and unity and appears following her partnership with Splat hair color. “Colors” will appear on Ali’s forthcoming album, “88”, which is due out later this year via her label 2MarcoMusic. After earning 1 million streams on Spotify, Yasmeen has become a force to reckon with in R&B. Following the release of the single “Made To Win”, Yasmeen returns with “One More Drink”, a catchy anthem for women everywhere. Yasmeen relates to her audience very well. We’ve all drunk dialed a time or two. The song was written by Yasmeen and Rashied Arekat. On Monday, rapper Nipsey Hustle released the music video for his single “Victory  Lap”, featuring Stacy Barthe. The clip, directed by Sergio, follows Nipsey from the Crenshaw District to Tulum Mexico. Fans should check this one out.
