Robin Thicke is a Canadian singer/songwriter/producer. While signed as an artist in his own right, Thicke made a name for himself as a songwriter for other artists before recording and performing his own music. Thicke wrote “Love Is On My Side” for Brandy’s debut album, and he also wrote for 3T’s album “Brotherhood” in addition to collaborating with Jordan Knight, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis on songs for Knight’s album “Jordan Knight.” Thicke also wrote “When You Put Your Hands On Me” for Christina Aguliera’s debut album, and co-wrote and produced three songs for singer Mya’s sophomore effort, “Fear Of Flying.” In 2001, Thicke singed with Interscope Records as part of Andre Harrell and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds’ Nu America imprint. In 2002, Thicke released his debut single “When I Get You Alone.” The moderate success of “When I Get You Alone” signaled the release of Thicke’s debut album “A Beautiful World.” On October 3, 2006, Thicke released his sophomore effort, “The Evolution Of Robin Thicke.” The album featured the singles “Wanna Love You Girl” and “Lost Without You.” Thicke has released the albums “Something Else” (2008), “Sex Therapy: The Session” (2009), “Love After War” (2011), “Blurred Lines” (2013) and “Paula” (2014).
