Rising British singer Shae Jacobs is ready to hit the airwaves. His debut single, “Not Suppose To”, is a beautifully written ballad about his desire to reconnect with a a past love although he isn’t suppose to. “Not Suppose To” embodies everything we’ve all felt at one time or another. Why do we want them back after all they’ve put us through? Why can’t we stop thinking about them? As for the song, it’s important to remember that an ex is an ex for a reason. By the end of the first verse, Shae remembers why he broke up with his ex and reconsiders going back to her. Nevertheless, the longing for someone you used to be romantically involved with never goes away, therefore, it’s okay to acknowledge that and that’s why the song is relatable. For those unaware, Shae Jacobs has made a name for himself as a songwriter and producer. He has forthcoming collaborations with Ty Dolla $ign, Snoop Dogg, Jason Derulo, Cheat Codes, Sigrid, The Chainsmokers and Sean Paul.
