Pop/R&B veteran Lionel Richie is slated to release his forthcoming album, “Live From Las Vegas”, on August 23, marking his first release from Capitol Records. He will also embark on the Hello Tour this summer. According to a press release, “Live From Las Vegas” was recorded at the Zappos Theater at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. The project features Richie performing classics that span his entire career, including “All Night Love”, “Say You, Say Me”, “Hello”, “Dancing On The Ceiling” and “Truly”, in addition to hits from his time with The Commodores, including “Three Times A Lady” and “Easy.” the album also includes the global hit “We Are The World”, which he co-wrote with Michael Jackson for USA For Africa in 1985. The iconic artist will begin his 32-date Hello Tour on May 28 at the Smart Financial Center in Sugarland, TX, and will visit Radio City Music Hall in New York City and the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, among others. Tickets for most dates go on sale Friday, March 29 at 10:00 a.m. on Richie’s website, with pre-sale tickets available for Citi cardholders beginning tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. All online ticket purchases for the tour will include a CD of Richie’s upcoming album.
