Slip-N-Slide/Atlantic Records signee Sebastian Mikael follows up last year’s “I C U U C Me Pt 1” with the sequal, “I C U U C Me Pt 2.” The 7-song project features the single, “Acid Pt. 2”, which is supported by a music video. The project expands Mikael’s return while highlighting his new sound. New York City based R&B singer Xavier White recently unveiled his new single, “Say My Name.” On the feel good, infectious track, the singer/songwriter combines lyrics that raise questions about insecurity and instability with energy-filled, EDM influenced sounds. The song, which begins with a slow groove before building to a beat drop, offers listeners an opportunity to connect to the narrative of a person  feeling the need for reassurance  and for someone to prove their love. Xavier’s musical versatility ties all aspects of the song together. Xavier’s debut EP “Cancer Vs. Gemini” was released in June 2016 and earned a few hundred thousand streams within the first month of its release. That project, and the new single, “Say My Name”, continue to launch his career. R&B legend Dionne Warwick teams with Musiq Soulchild on  her new single “Am I Dreaming.”  Taken from Warwick’s forthcoming album “She’s Back”, her first release in five years, the tune was originally recorded by Atlantic Starr in 1980. On the record, Warwick showcases her era  transcending vocals while Musiq delivers his own captivating sound, making for a great generational treat. “She’s Back” will be released May 10 via Kind Music/Entertainment One. The project is executive produced by her son, Damon Elliott, and also features an updated version of “What The World Needs Now (Is Love)”, which Warwick recorded in the 1960s. Kenny Lattimore (“What Color Is Love”) and Krayzie Bone (“Deja Vu”) also appear on the project. Additionally, the new album will include the bonus disc of Warwick’s 1998 album, “Dionne Sings Dionne”, which features her greatest hits remastered for this package. Ms. Warwick begins a residency in Las Vegas this month.
