Singer Tamika Scott, one-fourth of the veteran R&B group Xscape, steps into the spotlight with her new single, “Tonite.” On the track, which samples the Nas hit “One Mic”, the singer/songwriter delivers smooth vocals about self-love and self-reflection after a long week. “Tonite” is the first single from Scott’s forthcoming EP, “The Movie”, which is her first solo release. The members of Xscape reunited in 2017 after a 15-year hiatus. The group also released an EP without member Kandi Burruss. Singer/songwriter/DJ/model MAAD just released the new single, “BAAD”, a song that finds her wearing her heart on her sleeve about missing that good love. We’ve all had someone rock our world, and that’s why this record resonates. Not to mention, MAAD’s lush vocals are eargasmic. “BAAD” arrives months after “SoN2U”, produced by the Vamp. On the song, the singer pays homage to 90’s R&B, in particular the group SWV, where MAAD offers a rendition of the hit “I’m So Into You.” Having modeled for Elle, L’Oreal, Seventeen and Anastasia Beverly Hills in additon to working with producers Stereotypes, Bizness Boi, TheVamp and Dyo and collaborating with A$AP Ferg, MADD’s solo career is off to a flying start. Los Angeles based Malaysian artist Yuna has delivered the new single “Forevermore.” In a press release, the singer/songwriter indicated that she wrote the song about coming from a small town and how that made her strive to be the best that she can be. Serving as an ode to her home country of Malayisa, “Forevermore” is blends Yuna’s native sounds with contemporary R&B. Yuna released the critically acclaimed “Chapters” in 2016. Now, “Forevermore” arrives as she prepares her next project. R&B/Soul singer Tay Walker draws inspiration from the Marvin Gaye hit “What’s Going On” with a single of the same name. On the track, the Los Angeles based singer/songwriter/producer delivers heart felt vocals about his frustrations with the current state of our communities. ‘What’s Going On” comes after the senseless killing of rapper Nipsey Hustle. In the mist of his battle with labels Generation Now and Rock Nation, rapper Lil Uzi Vert returns with the singles “Sanguine Paradise” and “That’s A Rack.” The songs arrived yesterday. “Sanguine Paradise” finds the Philadelphia native implementing a more uptempo flow throughout the track. Fans should take a listen to both.
