Cameron Jibril Thomas, known professionally as Wiz Khalifa, is an American rapper/singer/songwriter/actor from Pittsburg, PA.  He came to the attention of Rostrum Records president Benjy Grinberg, who decided to work with him. In 2005, Thomas released his debut mixtape “Prince Of The City: Welcome To Pistolvania.” The mixtape paved the way for the release of his debut album “Show And Prove” in 2006. In 2007, Thomas signed with Warner Bros. Records and released the mixtapes “Grow Season” and “Prince Of The City 2” via Rostrum Records. Thomas parted ways with Warner Bros. in 2009 after numerous delays in  releasing his debut project for the label “First Flight.” He continued his association with Rostrum Records, releasing the single “Teach You To Fly”, and the mixtape “How Fly”, a collaboration with rapper Curren$y. Thomas went on to release the single “Black And Yellow”, which peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song’s title refers to the colors of the City of Pittsburgh. Thomas has released the albums “Deal Or No Deal” (2009), “Rolling Papers” (2011), “Mac & Devin Go To High School” (With Snoop Dogg) (2011), “O.N.I.F.C.” (2012), “Blacc Hollywood” (2014) and “Rolling Papers 2” (2018).
