Sammie Leigh Bush Jr, known professionally as Sammie, is an American singer/songwriter. In 1999, he signed with Capitol Records and released his debut album, “From The Bottom To The Top.” The album reached #46 on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified gold by the RIAA. The first single, “I Like It”, reached #24 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #8  on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Songs charts, and was  certified gold. The second single, “Crazy Things I Do”, was released in early 2000 and reached #39 on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart. Sammie collaborated with rappers Lil Bow Wow,  Lil Wayne and Lil Zane on the single “Hardball”, taken from the soundtrack of the same name. The song reached #77 on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart. Following a hiatus, Sammie returned to the studio with producers Dallas Austin, Jazze Pha and Bryan Michael Cox after signing with Austin’s Rowdy Records. His sophomore effort, “Sammie”, reached #42 on the Billoard 200 chart. The first single, “You Should Be My Girl”, featuring Sean P., peaked at #26 on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart, while the second single, “Come With Me”, peaked at #23 on the same chart. Sammie also released the albums “Indigo” (2016) and “Coming Of Age” (2017).
