Former American Idol contestant Fantasia Barrino returns to the spotlight with her new single, “Enough”, a delicious combination of soulful vocals and rock-oriented production. “Enough” was recorded with a live band, giving us a musical feel that’s not very common in today’s soul music. The song serves as Fantasia’s first single in three years. In the accompanying music video, Fantasia is shown in her element, on stage performing. The clip also features a backstory of love with everything coming together at the end when Fantasia and her mystery man reconnect romantically. In addition to the new single “Enough”, Fantasia is also preparing her forthcoming album, which will be the followup to 2016’s “The Definition Of…” and 2017’s holiday album, “Christmas After Midnight.” The project will reportedly include collaborations with Brandy and Jazmine Sullivan. Reggae star Christopher Martin returns with his new album, “And Then”, his sophomore effort via VP Records. The project, which features 15 songs, is the followup to his Billboard Top 5 debut, “Big Deal.” Headed by the singles “Bun Fi Bun”, “Can’t Dweet Again”, “Come Back” and “Life”, the album contains a well-rounded mix of ballads and uptempo numbers, showcasing the singer’s versatility and growth with a celebration centering on the themes of love, rising above adversity and finding the good in every situation. “And Then” also includes a remake of the Mr. Big classic “To Be With You.” Fans can expect to hear more from Mr. Martin in the future. Following the release of two teaser videos last week, rapper Tyler The Creator just announced the release date of his forthcoming fifth studio album, “Igor.” The Odd Future member made the announcement via Instagram and added that his latest project will be released on May 17. “Igor” features two album covers, the first one highlighting Tyler’s contributions. The alternative cover was drawn by Portland, Maine based illustrator Lewis Rossignol. “Igor” is the follow up to Tyler’s 2017 effort “Flower Boy.” The album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album. Tyler will headline the Governor’s Ball along with SZA, Nas and more.
