Rock Star Music Group, home of female rap veteran Trina, has just released a music video from rising artist Lyriq Tye. Titled “Hide”, the song and visual showcase the singer/songwriter’s musical style as she introduces herself to the masses. Directed by Anton Forbes, she describes the clip as a music video that seeks to illuminate the imbalance of the church and the black community. Actors Shaunice and Spinelli serve as symbols of hidden lovers in the black community caused by generations of their lifestyle being viewed as devilish. They also serve as symbols that will break the imbalance of western thinking. In  “Hide”, listeners trek through the emotions of those who battle with their faith and their hearts, those who hide out of fear of being judged. It’s a call for us as a community to move forward by accepting all forms of ourselves. We have to place our faith in our people instead of a culture that was used to enslave us. Lyriq Tye is an alternative R&B/soul artist with a raw, soulful vocal delivery. She has worked with several artists, including Ballgreezy. R&B singer/songwriter Guordan Banks has released the music video for his new single, “Can’t Keep Running.” The Philadelphia native has been in the music industry since 2014, creating a buzz with the mixtape “A Song For Everyone”  and breakthrough single “Keep You In Mind.” Since then he has lent his vocals to such tracks as Meek Mill’s “Heaven Or Hell”, which also features Jadakiss, “Two Wrong”, featuring Pusha T. and “These Scares”, featuring Future. In addition, Banks has also collaborated with Jim Jones and Cam’Ron on the single “To Whom It May Concern”, from the 2019 mixtape “El Capo.” Banks formed his own label, Bank On It Entertainment, and released his solo album “Unpopular.” Now, Banks has reached 50 million streams on Spotify and more. With the release of his new single, Banks has shared a cinematic film that highlights his style, charm and soulful voice. The clip begins with Banks admiring his significant other, played by Lisa Raye’s daughter, Kai Morae. Banks sings while contemplating the future of their relationship. Finally, as he’s ready to settle down and confront her about his feelings, the cat and mouse chase begins with Morae appearing and disappearing throughout the video until viewers are taken a loop with an unexpected twist at the end. “Can’t Keep Running” is currently climbing the Billboard chart and has received 700,000 streams on Spotify. Fans should look for Banks’ album “Blood And Vinyl.”
