Newcomer Christinna O just released her debut EP, “Girl In Passing.” The R&B songstress is not only a musician, but a poet as well. She competed in the NAACP’s national poetry competition and Temple University’s poetry collective Babel, which includes a small group of poets, rappers and musicians. Christinna started music and poetry in her early teens to deal with bullying. Shortly thereafter, she learned to create her own tracks using Pro Tools, pulling beats from You Tube, and making melodies with her father’s Yamaha keyboard and topping it off with her vocals. Over time, she gained a following via Soundcloud and self-released the mixtape, “The Violet Mixtape” at age 14, the EP “Abide”, while in high school, and the single “Milk Carton.” The 19-year-old garnered the attention of Roget Chahayed, known for Sicko Mode, Skywalker and Broccoli, and Wes Singerman, who produced her single “Shelter.” “Girl In Passing” intertwines spoken words and vocals throughout the project. The first part of the EP is about feelings of the heart. All songs are reactions to challenges against the heart and struggles against external harmful energy. The second half of the EP is about the baggage individuals have throughout life’s journey. Check out “Girl In Passing.” Rapper Cozy The Saint just released part two of his three-part EP series, “504Tunate.” Formerly known as Cozy with the Curls, he changed his name to pay homage to his hometown New Orleans and NFL sports team New Orleans Saints. In 2017, Cozy appeared on the VH1 show “Signed”, which featured music moguls Lenny S. of Rock Nation, Rick Ross of Maybach Music and The Dream. The show took artists through auditions  and workshops to find the next superstar. At the end of the competition, Cozy was presented a single record deal from Maybach Music Group. After deciding not to sign with the label, he remained in the limelight with the videos “Da Dolphin”, “Emoji Bounce Song”, “Kirk Franklin Praise Dance”, “Shake It For Oreos” and “Saints Fans Celebrate”, accumulating in 20 million views on social media. Part one of the two part EP contains a Hip/Hop/Trap vibe, while  part two contains a Trap/R&B feel. The project features the singles “Best Friend”, “Dr. Miami” and “Ranking Money.” Fans can look forward to more music from Cozy in the near future. Rapper Rick Ross announced that his highly anticipated forthcoming album “Port Of Miami 2” will be released on Aug. 9, 2019. He also shared the project’s art work, which depicts Ross holding an icy pendant filled with a picture of Bo. Ross also released a trailer for “Port Of Miami 2”, which is set to arrive the day after what will be the 13th anniversary of the original “Port Of Miami.” Ross  geared up for the album’s release with the singles “Act A Fool” and “Big Tyme.”
