Kelendria Trene Rowland, known professionally as Kelly Rowland, is an American singer/songwriter/actress/television personality from Houston, TX. Rowland rose to fame as a member of the all female R&B quartet Destiny’s Child, one of the world’s best selling girl groups of all time. During the group’s two year hiatus, Rowland released her debut solo album “Simply Deep”, which sold 2.5 million copies world wide and included the single ‘Dilemma”, a collaboration with rapper Nelly, as well as the UK top-ten singles “Stole” and “Can’t Nobody.” Shortly after the disbandment of Destiny’s Child in 2006, Rowland released her sophomore effort “Ms. Kelly”, which featured the singles “Like This” and “Work.” Rowland has also released the albums “Here I am” (2011) and “Talk A Good Game” (2013). In addition to music, Rowland has also worked as an actress having appeared in such films as “Freddie Vs. Jason”, “The Seat Filler” and “Think Like A Man.” She also appeared as a judge in the UK version of the television talent show “The X Factor.”
