Jhene Aiko Efuru Chilomobo, known professionally as Jhene Aiko, is an American singer/songwriter from Los Angeles, CA. She began her musical career by contributing backing vocals to several B2K projects, as well as “The Master Of Disguise” soundtrack in 2002, while being managed by Chris Stokes. In 2012, she met record producer and Def Jam Vice President of A&R No I.D, who signed Jhene to his Atrium Records through Def Jam. On September 4, 2012, Jhene released the single “3:16 AM” for download on iTunes. On November 12, 2013, she released her debut EP “Sail Out.” On September 8, 2014, Jhene released her debut album “Souled Out.” The album reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200, selling 70,000 copies during its opening week. Jhene released the album “Trip” in 2017.
