Sad news out of the world of hip hop. Jarad Anthony Higgins, known professionally as Juice WRLD, died suddenly at age 21. According to TMZ, Higgins arrived at Chicago’s Midway Airport from Los Angeles and suffered a seizure in the terminal. He was alive when paramedics arrived, but pronounced dead at a local hospital shortly thereafter. Chicago police confirmed the incident. The Chicago native rose to prominence with the single “Girls Are The Same” in 2018 before his followup single “Luicd Dreams” became one of the biggest hits of the year, peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The single helped Juice WRLD win the Top New Artist award at the Billboard Music Awards in 2019. He continued producing hits from his album “Death Race For Love”, which became his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart this year. In addition to collaborating with Lil Uzi Vert and Ellie Goulding, Juice WRLD also released the collaborative project, “Wrld On Drugs”, with Future last year. Juice WRLD was an innovative, talented artist. May he rest in peace.
