Ronnie James Tucker, known professionally as Ro James, is a German-American singer/songwriter. James sang throughout his childhood, but never sang in public. He later moved to New York City, where he was influenced by his aunt Rosie Gaines, who sang with Prince. His love of the album “Purple Rain” landed him in the studio at age 19. He wrote the song “Portrait” and he also wrote the song “Use Me” for singer Miguel, forming a bond with him via MySpace. James performed in and around New York with such artists as Luke James and Wynter Gordon. In 2013, James released his first EP, “Coke, Jack And Cadillacs.” Each part represented important themes in his life; his first love, his first drink, and his first car. The project featured the singles “A.D.I.D.A.S.” and “Pledge Alleglance.”  On May 27, 2016, James released his debut album, “Eldorado.” It debuted at 71 on the Billboard 200 chart.
