Anthony Banks, known professionally as Ant Banks, is an American rapper/producer from Oakland, CA. Banks took band in school and learned to play several instruments along with way. Banks later recorded tapes with Oakland rapper MC Ant, and the two sold them at their high school out of the trunk of their cars. The tapes eventually reached the streets, resulting in popularity throughout the city. In 1987, Banks recorded the MC Ant  album “The Great”, which was released via Raw Dog Records. He also recorded rapper Spice 1’s debut album “Let It Be Known”, which was released via Triad Records. The releases of Pooh-Man and Dangerous Game sold between 100,000 to 300,000 units, without a record label or promotion. Banks has produced tracks for Too Short, E-40, Spice 1, Snoop Dogg and 3X Krazy to name a few. As a solo artist, Banks has released the albums “Sitting On Something Phat” (1993), “The Big Badass” (1994) and “Do Or Die” (1995).
