The Force MDs are an American R&B vocal group from Staten Island, New York. Formed in 1981, the group’s original lineup consisted of brothers Steven “Stevie D” Lundy, Antoine “T.C.D” Lundy and Rodney “Khalil” Lundy, along with Jessie Daniels, Trisco Pearson and Charles “Mercury” Nelson. Although the group has old school roots, it is best known for two songs that are considered quiet storm classics, “Tender Love” and “Love Is A House.” They are considered major forerunners of the new jack swing movement. In 1984, the group signed to Tommy Boy Records and released their debut album, “Love Letters”, that same year. The album featured the top-ten R&B hit “Tears.” Their sophomore effort, “Chillin”, was released in 1985. It spawned the hits “Tender Love” and “Here I Go Again.” The group’s third album, “Touch And Go”, was released in 1987. It featured the #1 R&B hit “Love Is A House.” They also released the albums “Step To Me” (1990), “Moments In Time” (1994) and “The Reunion” (2000). Three of the five original members of the group died within five years of each other: Charles “Mercury” Nelson suffered a fatal heart attack in 1995, former collaborator DJ Dr. Rock died suddenly of natural causes in 1996; and in 1998 Antoine Lundy died of Lou Gehrig’s disease. The current lineup is comprised of Zieme Capers, Steven “Stevie D” Lundy and Rodney “Khalil” Lundy.
