R&B sensation D’nya Monae just released the track “Single Season.” Just in time for the end of summer flings and perfect timing for that fall cuffing situation, D’nya Monae delivers the perfect song for changing seasons. During an interview with singersroom.com, D’nya revealed that the song was inspired by a friend. With plans to release another single this fall, and with hopes of increasing her social media while building her fan base, D’nya Monae plans to release an EP that will make her hometown New York City proud. After starting her career by singing on the C train, encouraged by her family, D’nya Monae hit the internet singing the Brian McKnight song “Let Me Love You” to fellow passengers on their way home from work. A passenger recorded her performance and uploaded the video to You Tube. Now receiving airplay on Power 105.1 and having connected with Smit BDM CEO, an industry insider, D’nya Monae is destined to become one of hottest artist in R&B. In 2009, singer Kelvin Johnson, known professionally K’Jon, released the single “On The Ocean.” Now, the crooner is completing his 10th anniversary project titled “My Ship Has Finally Come”, which is a lyric in “On The Ocean.” Initially delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the project is due out on October 1, 2020. K’Jon describes his latest project as a feel-good happy album that contains a selection of new and familiar songs that he put together over the past ten years with some incredible remixes. He also debuted the video for the single “Beautiful Thing (Summer Breeze)”, which he calls a work of art and his best video to date. The visual follows a new romance between an interracial couple, which even if done unintentionally, provides a powerful message in itself. It shows that it’s still possible, even in this racially divided world, to not allow differences in color to hinder a person from seeing the beauty in someone else.
