Rahsaan Patterson is an American singer/actor remembered for portraying ‘The Kid” on the 1980s television series Kids Incorporated. After Kids Incorporated, Patterson gained experience as a background vocalist for several artists, including Kids Incorporated co-star Martika. He followed that with vocal contributions to Colour Club’s debut album and writing for other artists, including Brandy and Tevin Campbell. Patterson signed with MCA Records in 1995. He released his self-titled debut album on January 28, 1997. The album peaked at number 48 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart. It featured the singles “Stop By” and “Where You Are.” His sophomore effort, “Love In Stereo”, was released in late 1999. The album peaked at number 51 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart. It featured the singles “The Moment” and “Treat You Like A Queen.” Although Patterson and MCA parted ways, he remained busy, performing live and contributing to soundtracks and compilation albums while working on his next album. Patterson’s third album, “After Hours”, was released in October 2004, The album debuted at number 65 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart and featured the singles “So Hot”, “April’s Kiss” and “Forever Yours.” Patterson has also released “Wine & Spirits” (2007), “Bleuphoria” (2011) and “Heroes & Gods” (2019).
