R&B singer/songwriter Sainvil makes his debut with the single and video “Boxed In” featuring critically acclaimed Compton rapper Boogie. “Boxed In” was created in response to current events taking place in America. The heart-wrenching video delves deep into the mass killings of unarmed black people. Filmed in Los Angeles, the video opens with Sainvil attempting to comfort his nephew while he watches the violence on the news that shows a nerve-racking scene which features Boogie. “Boxed In” is the lead single from Sainvil’s forthcoming EP, “2020 Was Hijaced.” The Haitian-born, Miami based artist compiled all the complex emotions 2020 has brought due to the global pandemic and brutality, and the result is “2020 Was Hijacked.” Earlier this year, Sainvil released his debut EP, “In Bad Shape.” The project featured seven tracks, including the fan favorite “Shoulders”, delivering a monumental body of work that tackled various emotional lessons Sainvil has learned throughout his life. His sound and style has earned him praise from fans and peers alike. Both “Boxed In” and “2020 Was Hijacked” prove that Sainvil is a force to be reckoned with. Listen to “Boxed In” below.
