Rapper Lil Tjay returns with the single “Losses.” “Losses” was produced by Woodpecker and will appear on Lil Tjay’s sophomore album. The video was directed by Shomi Patwary and reflects on tough situations from his past, but won’t let his “Losses” determine his future. “Losses” follows “Mood Swings”, which featured the late Pop Smoke. Lil Taj’s sophomore effort will be released later this year. Watch the “Losses” video below.
Deante Hitchcock has mastered the art of perfect timing. Following a special guest appearance on Dreamville’s “Revenge Of The Dreamers 3”, the Atlanta native set the wheels in motion for the release of his debut album “Better” via RCA Records last year. Now, fresh off a BET Hip Hop Awards cypher, Hitchcock is preparing to release his two-sided “Better”, which will include special guest appearances by Ro James, Kenny Mason, Reason, J.I.D., Young Nuddy, 6Lack, Miguel and St. Beauty. While such a lineup of guests could overpower the the artist in question, Hitchcock’s distinctive pen and southern charm shine through with ease, weaving a tapestry of unmatched lyricism and personal narratives. There’s no word on an official release date, but “Better: The Deluxe Edition” will surely be a crowd pleaser.

Mxxn Wave’s new signee Wilke$ steps into the spotlight with his debut single “Should I.” The singer/songwriter/producer hits all the right notes on a ballad that finds him at a crossroad, contemplating the viability of his relationship. During a recent Instagram live, the Virginia native revealed that the song is autobiographical, and that writing it helped him work through his feelings of uncertainty. Soncially, the guitar driven track can be described as “Neo-Nineties R&B.” It evokes all the nostalgia of 90s R&B, while maintaining a fresh, contemporary feel. Vocally, Wilke$ is in his element. His smooth, unique tone is a welcome standout amongst his industry peers. His vocal delivery is both conversational and engaging. With each passing chorus, you hear his emotional unrest building as he layers additional background vocals and Ad-libs. From the soulful chord progression to the impassioned vocal, the song’s bridge will remind you of the classic breakdowns of yesteryear that are sorely missing from today’s music. To put it simply, “Should I” is a must add for any R&B lover’s playlist. If “Should I” is any indication, Wilke$ has a bright future ahead of him. Listen to “Should I” below.
