LaTasha Sheron Rogers, known professionally as MC Trouble, was an American hip hop artist and first female rapper signed to Motown Records. Rogers had a minor hit with “(I Wanna) Make You Mine” featuring The Good Girls. The song was released on May 25, 1990 and peaked at No. 15 on Billboard magazine’s Hot Rap Singles Chart. The title track of her debut album “Gotta Get A Grip” was released as the second single on September 14, 1990. “Gotta Get a Grip” was a mixture of hardcore rap and commercial R&B. Rogers died in her sleep on June 4, 1991, while at a friend’s house after suffering an epileptic seizure brought on from complications from a brain tumor, which resulted in heart failure. She was 21 years old. She released the albums “Highroller’s Girl” (1988) and “Gotta Get A Grip” (1990).
