Lil Wayne returns with 'No Ceilings 3' mixtape - REVOLT

Rapper Lil Wayne returns for the “No Ceilings” trilogy. On Friday, Wayne released the mixtape “No Ceilings 3”. The mixtape is hosted by DJ Khaled. The We The Best CEO teased several songs from the mixtape on his social media. It certainly garnered much attention for the project. “No Ceilings 3” reunites the New Orleans native with his protege Drake. It’s been quite some time since the two appeared on the same track together. In addition, the mixtape features special guest appearances by Young Thug, HoodBaby, Euro and more. Lil Wayne also reunites with Young Money artists Corey Gunz and Gudda Gudda. Lil Wayne released the first “No Ceilings” mixtape in 2009. This mixtape presents a number of significant moments as well including cameo appearances from his sons Lil Tune, Young Carter and Cam Carter. This is the first project for the Young money CEO since his Donald Trump photo-op before Election Day. Due to music clearances, the album isn’t on any DSPs. Instead, Tunchi turns back the clock to feature the tape on Datpiff.

Inside The Industry: New Music From Stevie Mackey & Jazmine Sullivan

30 Monday Nov 2020

Acclaimed vocal coach Stevie Mackey is adding some soul to Christmas with the release of his debut album “The Most Wonderful Time.” While Mackey usually works behind the scenes helping others fine tune their talent on NBC’s The Voice, he’s ready to take center stage as a solo performer. When reflecting on his deep love of Christmas music, he felt that a holiday album would be the perfect way to introduce his artistry to the masses. The project features special guest appearances by JoJo, Shawn Stockman and Wanya Morris of Boyz To Men, Jennifer Lopez, Take 6, Shelea, Cory Henry, and Justin Lee Schultz. While the album features an array of genres, Mackey’s voice anchors the project. His innate ability to breathe new life into songs that have been covered countless times is awe-inspiring. Every note, every inflection, and every breath is filled with deep conviction and delivered with soul. “Jesus What A Wonderful Child”, “River” and “Do You Hear What I Hear?” are among the standout tracks on an album that fans will enjoy for years to come. Singer Jazmine Sullivan returns to the spotlight with a breakup anthem fans may not have known they needed titled “Pick Up Your Feelings.” The song is the followup to the single “Lost One.” Both songs will appear on Sullivan’s forthcoming untitled EP. This will be her first project since 2015’s “Reality Show”, which spawned the hit “Let It Burn.” From the production, to the writing to her vocals, Sullivan is definitely in her element here, and “Pick Up Your Feelings” is a must add to your playlist. Listen to “Pick Up Your Feelings.” below.

This song is the property of RCA Records.

Trey Songz & Summer Walker’s Back Home Hits No. 1 On Adult R&B Songs Chart

27 Friday Nov 2020

Singer Trey Songz scores his third No. 1 single on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart as “Back Home”, his collaboration with Summer Walker, advances from the runner up spot. The track climbs thanks to an 8% increase in plays in the week ending Nov. 22, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. The singer notched his first of 26 appearances on the Adult R&B Songs chart with “Gotta Go” in 2016. He previously topped the list with “Can’t Be Friends”, which led for two weeks in February 2011, and “What’s Best For You”, a one week champ in October 2014. Walker, meanwhile, claims her first Adult R&B leader in her budding career. The new champ outdoes her previous personal best, “Playing Games”, which registered nine weeks at No. 2 in June-August this year, blocked by Kem’s “Lie To Me” for seven weeks and then Toni Braxton’s “Do It” for the final pair. “Back Home”, originally released last year, found solid reception with mainstream audiences before it crossed over and generated strong traction in the Adult R&B realm. The single reached No. 12 on the R&B/Hip Hop Airplay chart in August, securing Songz’s best result in more than five years, since “Slow Motion” reached No. 2 in July 2015. For Walker, “Back Home” locked up her fourth consecutive top 20 appearance to continue her stretch as one of mainstream R&B/Hip Hop’s favorite newcomers. Her singles “Girls Need Love” and “Playing Games” both rose to No. 6, while the Usher collaboration “Come Thru” peaked at No. 9. “Back Home” also picked up some play at rhythmic radio, with the track spending six weeks on the Rhythmic Songs radio chart and peaking at No. 35. The single is the title track from Songz’s 2020 album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Top R&B Albums chart and No. 9 on the Billboard 200 in October.

Internet Money & Gunna’s Lemonade Tops Rhythmic Songs Chart

27 Friday Nov 2020

Production collective Internet Money earns its first No. 1 single as artists on Billboards’ s Rhythmic Songs airplay chart as “Lemonade”, a collaboration with Gunna that also features Don Toliver and Nav, ascends from No. 2-1 on the list dated Nov. 28. The collaboration reaches the summit thanks to its 6% boost in plays at the radio format in the week ending Nov. 22, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. Internet Money is lead by songwriters/producers Nick Mira, 20, and Taz Taylor, 28, who have contributed to a string of pop, R&B and hip hop hits in recent years. Notably, both men have already claimed No. 1s as producers and writers on the Rhythmic Songs chart. The pair co-wrote and co-produced with others Lil Tecca’s “Ran$om”, which ruled for one week last year, while Mira also produced and co-wrote Juice WRLD’s “Lucid Dreams”, another one week champ, in 2018. With both men sharing writing and production credits on “Lemonade”, Mira adds a third Rhythmic Songs No. 1 as a writer and producer, while Taylor nets his second in both capacities. Gunna, meanwhile, scores his second No. 1 after his special guest appearance on Chris Brown’s “Heat.” That track reigned for one week in 2018. Nav and Don Toliver each post a first Rhythmic Songs No. 1. In addition to its Rhythmic Songs coronation, “Lemonade” skips 21-14 on the R&B/Hip Hop Airplay chart through a 15% surge to 8.6 million in audience in the week ending Nov. 22. The track also holds at No. 34 on the Pop Songs airplay chart, though it adds 20% in weekly plays at the format. “Lemonade” is taken from Internet Money’s latest album “B4 The Storm”, which debuted at No. 6 on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart and No. 10 on the Billboard 200 in September.
