When Deborah Bond moved to Washington, DC to pursue a journalism degree at American University not many would have thought that she would develop into one of the leaders of the independent music scene, both as a broadcaster and as a performer whose only flaw is she doesn’t record often enough. It’s been a decade since the release of her album “Madam Palindrome”, but, in one of the few bright spots to come from the pandemic, she spent the past year recording her third album, “Compass: 1.” She released the single “Radio” several weeks ago, and now she’s back with another entitled “Time.” The midtempo number has a bouncy, jazzy foundation which will surely make it a classic. “Time” is certainly the perfect vehicle from which Bond can introduce herself to those unfamiliar with her talent. Listen to “Time” below.
